Microsoft Windows 11

(DESKTOP-5AE2802) I'm Facing issue in my laptop since couple of weeks. When I Turn on my Laptop I face issue of CMOS checksum error in BIOS. Also my battery is not giving backup after this issue just in 1.5 year.  Also facing white spot light near charging port even if my laptop is at 0%. I even tried hardware work by plug off battery and resetting CMOS by pressing start button nearby 20 seconds. Also I checked that if battery is blown or not but it is normal. Some of saying that it's issue in BMS (Battery Management System). So community please help me out I'm afraid of this issue and stopped working on that.

@prachi0111, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your laptop. Since your question involves a CMOS checksum error and battery issues, which are common technical problems, here are a few general steps you might consider:

CMOS Checksum Error: This often indicates a problem with the CMOS battery, which is responsible for maintaining BIOS settings. Ensure the CMOS battery is properly connected and consider replacing it with a new one, as they are generally inexpensive and easy to replace.

Battery Issues: If the laptop battery isn't holding a charge, it might be defective or nearing the end of its life. Consider testing the battery with a different compatible charger or checking with a professional technician whether the battery needs replacement.

Spot Light Near Charging Port: This could be due to a variety of reasons, including issues with the charger, charging port, or battery itself. It would be advisable to inspect these components for physical damage or consult a technician.
