I need the product key to activate Windows, but unfortunately, I've forgotten it. Could you please help me retrieve it?

The Windows product key is encrypted in your notebook's BIOS.

You don't need the product key to reinstall Windows.

That can't be.

No one can use the encrypted product key in the BIOS on another PC.

Download and install the free Showkey plus app from the Microsoft store.

ShowKeyPlus - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store

It will show you the OEM Windows key that you can use to activate Windows and the version of Windows the key is good for.

The parts list for your notebook indicates it came with W10 Professional from HP.

What I recommend you do is to make a bootable USB installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below and reinstall the official version of Windows.

Download Windows 10

It should automatically detect the Windows 10 Pro product key, install and activate after you are connected to the internet.
