Hello,

This is a followup to this post: Random black screen after BIOS update

I've been trying to dowgrade my bios to the original version before the upgrade (F.33), hoping that it would resolve the issue.

After weeks of trying I'm still unable to downgrade my BIOS.

Applying the same procedure as for the initial upgrade from F.33 to F.37 (the emeregency USB recovery, see the details on my original post) does not work. I get a message saying "The BIOS recovery files cannot be found or the files are corrupted".

Specifically I've been trying to downgrade from SP149376 to SP144068 (which is the original version i had when I purchased my laptop).

I've read that some BIOS revisions disallow downgrading. Is that documented anywhere?

How do I downgrade/rollback my BIOS?

I made a ticket to HP support two months ago but it was closed without a response from HP. Ngl i'm starting to get a little annoyed.
