G62-b60SI Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

On the HP Customer Support-Software and Driver Downloads webpage I downloaded a couple updates. When I then downloaded  and installed Operating System-Enhancements and QFEs the folder Essential System Updates, the action inadvertently uninstalled the Intel Control Centre on my Notebook PC.

On a website I saw that the  operating system Windows 7 most of them uses Intel Control Centre. In HP G62-b60SI Notebook PC-Troubleshooting webpage I read that its recommended that you do not need to download from the Intel website but rather from HP website itself for performance reasons this is done. The product number is XU596EA#ACQ, my Bios Version/Date: Hewlett Packard F.47, 2011/02/15 and have an  Intel Pentium processor  can you please assist?

Kind Regards.

I think you could have gone on  about the missing software for the Intel because there are 3 folders under the Driver- Chipset and I do not know which one to install. I could not let HP identify any out-of-date or missing drivers and software after my Intel Control Center went missing. This software that checks for HP could not complete its download.

Kind Regards.

Hey Kharhim,

You could do all three as it will tell you if you do not need it. Make sure you uninstall the other Intel software first.

You could  try using the Windows Update Troubleshooting tool. It will run a check on your system to make sure all is working correctly with Windows.

Thanks..
