To have a copy of Windows 11 for recovery on a partition of your OMEN Transcend 14 inch Gaming Laptop (PC 14-fb0000), you can follow these steps:

Steps for Creating a Recovery Partition:

Create a Recovery Drive with Windows Tools:

Open Recovery Drive Creation Tool:

  • Press Win + S and type Recovery Drive.
  • Select Create a recovery drive.

Create Recovery Drive:

  • Follow the prompts to create a recovery drive using a USB stick.
  • Ensure Back up system files to the recovery drive is checked.
  • Once created, you can copy the contents to a new partition.

Create a New Partition:

  • Open Disk Management:
    • Press Win + X and select Disk Management.
  • Shrink Existing Partition:
    • Find a partition with free space and right-click.
    • Select Shrink Volume and enter the amount to shrink (enough to accommodate the recovery image).
  • Create New Partition:
    • Right-click on the unallocated space created and select New Simple Volume.
    • Follow the steps to create a new partition and assign it a letter.

Copy Recovery Drive to Partition:

  • Connect the USB recovery drive created earlier.
  • Copy the contents from the USB drive to the new partition.
  • Ensure you have copied all the files correctly.

Using Recovery Partition:

  • Access Recovery Options:
    • If needed, you can access recovery options by restarting your laptop and pressing F11 during boot to enter the recovery environment.
    • Select Troubleshoot > Refresh your PC or Reset your PC, and choose the recovery partition as the source if available.
