I would like to change my original disk which is a classic hard-disk that is giving me problems of slowness with a ssd sata 3 samsung. Also I would like to reinstall sompra the original hp software with original drivers with hp cloud recovery tool, but in the guide it is written to remove hardware parts not pre-installed upon purchase. So I would like to know if I can start the recovery procedure of the original hp system with the new ssd that I am going to mount, so as to have the hp system installed from scratch on the new ssd. Thanks for the support 😉

Hi:

As long as the new SSD is somewhere close to the storage capacity of the original mechanical hard drive, it should work fine.

If it is not, then check the service manual for your specific model notebook and see what capacity hard drives were offered.

If there is one that is close to the capacity of the SSD you bought, that would probably also be OK.

You're very welcome.

You will have to check the manuals page in English, as all of the service manuals are written in English.
