OMEN by HP - 17-w200 CTO

All the sudden my Hp laptop just turned off and took me to a Boot Devise not found screen.

It tells me to please install an operating system on my hard disk.

 Hard Disk (3F0)

Also gives me an option for a system diagnostic by pressing (F2)

Does anyone know how to help me. Do i need to buy a new hard disk or just a new OS? someone please help me i cant do anything on my computer now... thanks

Hi:

Run the hard drive diagnostics test (F2) and see what it reports.

If your notebook came with W10 from HP, you would not have to buy a new operating system whether or not the hard drive has failed.

If the drive passes, try reinstalling W10 for free by making a bootable USB recovery drive with the cloud recovery tool.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.  You can use it on another PC running W7 64 bit or newer since your PC is not working.
