Please try installing the following drivers:
Good luck!

Both seemed to install OK, but I have no change in the situation.
On restart, the Event Logs again showed, "Intel(R) Trusted Execution Engine Interface driver failed to perform handshake with the Firmware." then, next event, "The Intel(R) Trusted Execution Interface is being disabled."

Hi,
please reply with the following information. We need it to further isolate the issue:
- The Intel(R) Trusted Execution Interface is being disabled. Does the message come up when you restart the laptop or it also comes up when the laptop enter into sleep/hibernate mode or wakes up from sleep/hibernate mode?
- Since you have already performed a system recovery (restored the laptop to its original factory condition), could you try once again to perform Windows updates and check if it is successful?
I suggest you to disable the power management for the network adapter by following the below steps:
- Open the device manager.
- Expand "Network adapters."
- Right click on the wireless card and select properties.
- The wireless card property window appears. Click on the "power management" tab.
- Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and also uncheck "allow this device to wake up the computer."
- Click OK.
See if this step helps and let me know. Cheers! 🙂

@MKazi
Hi again - sorry to be so slow in replying. I started seeing Windows updates this weekend, so I've been letting the updates install one or two at a time, with more restarts than I want to think about, but I believe Windows is up to date now.
The TXE is being disabled on start-up, so it does not go inactive when the laptop Sleeps, as it's already inactive at that point. If I put the computer into Sleep, things seem normal (the power button blinks as usual), but then when I go to wake it, it the blinking stops, the light goes out for a few moments, then the computer starts up.
On start up, there are two Error messages in the Event log. First, that the previous system shutdown was unexpected, and second, that the TXE driver has failed to handshake with the firmware.
On the Network Adapter, I have disabled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and it cannot wake the laptop from sleep. On sleep, I still have the same problem as above.
