Hi, my son is having issues with his laptop. He has already been in touch with HP community for advise. He was advised to master reset his laptop, but the laptop will not let him. He get a blue screeen during the resetting process saying there was an issue plus that is wasn’t reset and no changes were made.

Hello @KEH0213
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I am not familiar with the details of your son's issue but If I need to advise on the recovery, please do the following:
- Run hardware tests (F2) to rule out hardware problems - here are details >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JXUp43ahHA
- If the hardware diagnostics pass and no issues are found during the tests, reinstall Windows 10 by performing clean fresh Windows installation ("vanilla" installation) - it's free and you can how to do it here >> https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/EliteBook-very-slow-after-drive...
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.
