Hi @Onlyg,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If your HP Pavilion X360 15.6 Inch 2-In-1 Laptop PC (15-Er0000) is refusing to wake up from sleep, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Power Settings

Adjust Power Options:

  • Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
  • Click on Change plan settings next to your selected power plan.
  • Click on Change advanced power settings.
  • Expand the Sleep section and set Allow hybrid sleep to Off.
  • Set Hibernate after to a higher value or Never.

Adjust Lid and Power Button Actions:

  • In the Power Options window, click on Choose what closing the lid does.
  • Set the actions for When I press the power button and When I close the lid to Do nothing or Sleep as needed.

Update Drivers

Update Display Driver:

  • Right-click on Start and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Display adapters section.
  • Right-click on your display adapter and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest BIOS and chipset drivers for your specific model.
  • Install the updates and restart your laptop.

Disable Fast Startup

  1. Disable Fast Startup:
    • Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
    • Click on Choose what the power buttons do.
    • Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
    • Uncheck the box for Turn on fast startup (recommended).
    • Click Save changes.

Run Power Troubleshooter

  1. Run Power Troubleshooter:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
    • Select Additional troubleshooters.
    • Select Power and click Run the troubleshooter.

Check for Windows Updates

  1. Install Windows Updates:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    • Click Check for updates and install any available updates.

Adjust Sleep Settings in BIOS

  1. Check BIOS Sleep Settings:
    • Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS setup by pressing the appropriate key (usually F2, F10, ESC, or DEL) during startup.
    • Navigate to the Power Management section and ensure Sleep State is enabled.
    • Save and exit the BIOS.

Reset Power Settings

  1. Reset Power Settings:
    • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
    • Type the following command and press Enter:

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it might be necessary to perform a system restore or consider a clean installation of Windows to address any software conflicts. If the problem persists, there could be a hardware issue, and you may need to contact HP support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
