Here's the thing, after recent updates, and just after the said updates. The LED indicating charging status for my notebook doesn't match with the current Battery Percentage say, the LED turns white just as it reaches 67% I unplugged it for a shot while then plug it again, then a little while later it would turn white as it reaches 73%. And just before these updates I didn't have these issues. Is this a major thing to consider? I still use my notebook the usual routine, but doubts and fears are starting to surface.

Could you please share the exact model number of your HP notebook?
In the meantime, here are a few steps you can try:
Check BIOS and drivers: Visit HP Support Assistant or HP’s official drivers page https://support.hp.com/ to ensure your BIOS and chipset drivers are up to date.
Perform a battery reset: Shut down your notebook, unplug the charger, and hold the power button for about 15 seconds. Then reconnect and power on. This can recalibrate the battery and LED behavior.
Run HP diagnostics: Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (built-in or downloadable) to check battery health and charging circuits.
Observe charging behaviour: Note if the LED consistently changes at certain percentages or if it’s random. This detail will help us determine if it’s a calibration issue or a hardware signal mismatch.
From what you’ve described, this doesn’t sound like a major hardware failure, but rather a calibration or firmware-related change after the update. Your notebook should still function normally.
