Stream
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the same problem as others, but with some added problems.

I have freed up as much as possible, but I have two games  through GOG Galaxy, And a couple on Big Fish Games, yet none of these , appear in the :  add remove programs list.

I have tried, with adding a USB stick, but that seems to go undetected.

I have googled about removing  GOG Galaxy, but that seems impossible.

In the end, I took this to a branch of Computer World, and they initially said :

Yes they can reboot and update the computer.

Then, once I took the Stream, out of its cover, they went somewhat quiet...

Oh, Its a Stream ! Well, we can try.. but with no guarantees.

It will cost around 60 quid, but as said, its up to you, because there is no guarantee, that we will be able to do it !

So, I decided against that, and it seems I am stuck with a  late 2018 Stream, that is useless.

If this cannot be fixed, then I will not be buying any HP products ever again.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

You did not do a research before buying the machine.  You will get similar problem when buying such machine from HP or other vendors. Some vendors stopped produce that kind of machines and I believe HP has some newer products with 64GB or more of eMMC storage.

If you dont know anything about computers, what  " Research " are you supposed to do ?

I asked the sales rep, what he would recommend, and ended up with this.

The problem with a lot of you " Computer " people, is that the starting point, to your answer, is :

Everybody knows just as much as me, about computers !

Guess what ? Obviously not everybody, is as clever as you !

As a last resort, try the following activities to see if they free up enough "disk space" (Not Memory) to allow you to then do the Win10 Update:

http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-clean-up-winsxs-folder-in-windows-10/

Also, the community Win10 Forums has the following suggestions:
https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/83441-free-up-drive-space-windows-10-a.html

In addition, I have found the utility Cleanmgr+ to have LOTS of options for removing Windows junk, including log files. I use it practically every day. You can get it from here: https://www.getclone.app/download/category/11-cleanmgr

Also, there is a freeware app known as Wise Disk Cleaner. I use it every day to get rid of junk files: https://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-disk-cleaner.html

You said Win10 Update, which doesn't really provide us much details, so am I right in that you are trying to Update to a newer version of Win10?  If so, what version (i.e., 1903, 1909)?

Please do not believe the Sales rep, nearly all of them.

Thanks for the response !

I am trying to get the most recent update, that my  HP Stream, is telling me to download, it just says  Update, with no  mention of number.

As you have no doubt noticed, I can send emails, and, on a good  day, I can Copy and Paste, and it works !

It will take some time, for me to get through your links, but I will get back to you, as & when I work my way through your links.

Thanks !
