Pavillion Notebook 15-bc021TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I have been using my HP Pavillion Notebook 15-bc021TX for about 2 years now; however for quite a while it has developed a very annoying issue, whenever i plug in my charger while the laptop is turned on my battery charges for a few seconds and then it stops charging until i re-plug and the loop continuous i.e charges for a few seconds and then stops again.  However, when i turn off my laptop, and plug it in to charge, it presumably charges perfectly without any delays or discontinuity. Moreover, I have already read a few posts about the same issue and have already underwent following repairs/  update steps (posts here on HP official website) :-

1. Updated BIOS via HP Support Center Application

2. Uninstalled/ Disabled Microsoft AC adapter & Microsoft ACPI-Complaint Control Method battery

3. Reinstalled my windows/ carried out windows reset (Hard Reset of battery is not possible since it is non-removable)

I have something to add, whenever i plug in my charger in laptop for it to charge when it is off and allow it to charge till it is fully charged; and turn it on afterwards, the issue at times is resolved and the laptop keeps charging ( Since i i need it on AC to run games / application which require laptop to be plugged in)

Appreciate you trying the steps. This looks like a hardware issue and I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.
