Pavilion 17 G6R30UA#ABA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My hard drive crashed so I installed a new SSD and did the USB boot thing to install windows 10 again.

All that went well but now in Devices and Printers and in Device Manager, my laptop is shown as "DESKTOP-A4NJ8VE" with a yellow triangle with an exclamation point inside it. When I check it out in Device Manager it says "Unknown Device" and the trouble shooter says it needs a device driver - but it cant find one.

Everything seems to be working ok so far (2 hours) so is this something I need to fix? If so, how?

Thanks in advance.  Larry

Hi,

I don't concern about "DESKTOP-something" at all. For example one of my machines

The main concern is missing device(s). Do you have any missing device(s) ? If not then everything is ok then.

That did it! I followed those instructions, googled the hardware ID and found the correct driver. All is as it should be now.

Thanks!!!!!
