I TRIED THE CONTINUOUS F10 OPTION. NO GO. THE COMPUTER IS STILL ON WITH THE MESSAGE BOOT DEVICE NOT FOUND AND TO PLEASE INSTALL AN OPERATING SYSTEM ON MY HARD DISK.

SO!! I OUT OF START WORK ING AND CAN MOVE FORWARD WITH CLIENT W/O COMPUTER

computer says please install an operating system on your hard disk.

I tried but my disks won't install says there is no hard disk present

diagnostics says everything ok but still does not accept hard disk

Sounds like the hard drive may have failed. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If not a retail hard drive can be used. Just be sure to get one of at least as large a capacity as the original to use HP Recovery Discs to reinstall Windows. Enter BIOS setup by tapping/holding the F10 key immediately after powering on the laptop.Use Diagnostics to test your hdd.

So I just got a new hard drive from hp and have not even had it a month. I was using my laptop yesterday morning and had stepped away for five minutes I come to find a boot device not found message on my screen I have taken the hard drive out and put it back in and have treid the system recovery options and still nothing any ideas on how I can fix this without having to spend any money
