Hi I have a hp laptop when I tern it on it give massage said boot device not found

I got a message error 0301, it says that my hard drive is full. I replaced the hard drive but I still get the same message.

I believe a virus destroyed my OS. I went to Best Buy where I purchased it and they told me I would have to call HP and they would send me an OS startup disk for a cost. Is that correct? I have no problem with paying for that. I do have the serial no. And product no. Can you advise me on this? The laptop is out of warranty. Thanks for your help.

You can phone HP Support or you can usually order Recovery Media from your models support page in the Drivers/Software list.

Use the button at top of this page titled "Support", then click "Download drivers" from the menu. Enter your Product Number. After entering PN click 'Go". On the next page use the dropdown menu to select your Operating System, click Next. A list will populate with drivers/software. Scroll down the list to see option to order Recovery Media. (there will also be a "Contact HP" link at top of the page)
