Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb1000 (7Y8M8AV)

My computer is stuck on a black screen with the Victus logo and a loading circle. It just keeps loading and will never start. Last thing I did was simply get up from my pc and go to bed, when I woke up, it was on this screen. It said there is a checksum error, “the CMOS checksum is invalid.”

I’ve tried calling HP support but I never can get through to an ac actual human. I just keep being redirected to this website. When I give my serial number it says it can’t find it. I just want a human to help me. I just bought this computer and spent like 150 bucks on games on steam last night and I can’t even play.

Hard Reset - CMOS save

Turn on the computer by holding the power button down for 20 full seconds then release. Press the Power button one more time (if necessary) to start the computer.

Tap the ESC key about once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. You should see an image like the following.

Press F2 and run diagnostics. If diagnostics fail then return the laptop.

If they pass then enter BIOS setup menu. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings. Ensure the date and time are correct. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
