HP ENVY Laptop - 15-ep0008na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have recently bought an HP ENVY - 15-ep0008na and have been experiencing problems with the laptop not going to sleep.

When on battery everything behaves as it should, but when connected to power the laptop will not complete the sleep process - The screen will turn off, but the fans remain running and moving the mouse brings me straight back into windows. Closing the laptop lid also does not put the computer to sleep and the fans will continue running. Closing the lid when on battery works fine, but then if you plug the sleeping laptop into power it will wake up straight way.

I have looked in power & sleep options and all the settings are as they should be, closing the lid when on power is set to 'sleep' and the laptop so I'm not sure what could be causing this behaviour?

Both Windows and all the HP drivers have been kept regularly updated , but still the problem persists

@DB237

Please chance Power Plan options to suit your need

(a) Right click the battery icon,

(b) Select Power options

(c) Select Change Plan settings

Now you can play around with options to get to the way to meet your need.

Regards.

@Banhien

Like I said above, I've been in power options & everything is set as it should be.

something is preventing the laptop from actually entering sleep mode
