Enable Turbo boost on DC may be disabled in BIOS.

Other possibilities might be Advanced settings in the Power plan -> Processor Power Management -> Maximum processor state

You can find the Power plan settings in the Control Panel

WinKey+R -> type control and hit Enter -> Power options

Have a nice day!!

Just read your reply. if you mean enable turbo boost on Battery how much more than 2.7ghz on a 2.4ghz cpu will i get

The problem is with AC power, it slows to 0.38ghz as soon as i plug in the mains adapter (AC)

However i can not find turbo boost in the bios  there is no mention of it there (" Insyde F.28, 22/04/19" )

And as i've already stated i have exhausted all options on power management

Minimum processor state

 on battery 5%

 plugged in 100%

Maximum processor state

 on battery 100%

 plugged in 100%

and just to try something backward i put minimum processor state to on battery 50 No change

Then i put it to 100% still no change

So i put it back to 5%

Where now ?

I understand your concerns.

In that case, I would suggets you conatct our phone support and check for the option. They will help you.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

Have a nice day!!
