My internal Bluetooth disappeared from device manager, after i formatted the system. I have tried to download drivers online but do not work. I believe my system has Bluetooth hardware because it came with pre-installed Bluetooth and was working perfectly before the formatting. Also, my two Base System Devices are missing in device manager with a yellow exclamation indication. Pls, how do i re-install my internal Bluetooth and the two Base System Devices? Thanks

Hi:
For the base system devices, you need this driver...
This package contains the driver and host controller for the Ricoh 5-in-1 Card Reader for the supported notebook models and operating systems.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp37501-38000/sp37614.exe
If you see no bluetooth device at all (no bluetooth icon in the device manager listing), you probably need to install the HP wireless assistant, restart the PC and then turn on the bluetooth radio with the software.
This package contains the HP Wireless Assistant for the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems. The HP Wireless Assistant is a user application that provides a way to control the enablement of individual wireless devices (such as Bluetooth, WLAN, or WWAN devices) and that shows the state of the radios for these wireless devices.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45222.exe
Then install the HP bluetooth driver...
This package contains the software required to support the HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology in the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems. The HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology provides wireless connectivity to other devices from the integrated module of the supported notebooks/laptops. It also provides additional Bluetooth Profiles.

Hi Mr. Paul
I appreciate your reply. First i downloaded and installed the Ricoh 5-in-1 Card Reader Driver and Host Controller successfully. When i checked the device manager, i couldn't see the "Other Device" where the Base System Devices were listed under. But i discovered that these Ricoh 5-in-1 card and host controller driver realligned under Intel(R) ICH8M Ultra ATA storage controllers - 2850 and IEEE 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller. So I suppose that has been taken care of.
However, as regards the missing internal Bluetooth, I download and install sp46063-HP Bluetooth driver for Win 7 (32 bits), followed by sp45222-HP Wireless Assistant Driver for Win 7(32 bits) to turn on the Bluetooth. The drivers were successfully installed, but no BT radios and icon are showing. I believe my system has pre-installed Bluetooth hardware because it originally came with pre-installed Bluetooth radios and was working perfectly before the formatting.
If I check the Network Adapters, only the following items are listed:
- Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter
- Marvell Yukon 88E8039 PCI-E Ethernet Controller
- Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter.
But if I connect external Bluetooth device the radios and icon will show in the device manager. What next should i do?

You're very welcome.
Yes, the card reader driver has been installed successfully.
Unfortunately, I don't know why the internal BT adapter isn't showing up.
When you open the HP wireless assistant program, what does the bluetooth status indicate?
Can you click on the Turn On button to activate the BT?
If it says it is disabled or doesn't show up at all, unfortunately, I wouldn't know why that would be.

Thanks once again Mr. Paul for your assistance.
When i open the HP wireless assistant program, bluetooth status or indicator does not show, rather under the installed wireless devices, i only see Wireless LAN (Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter). This suggests that BT devices are not installed let alone turning it on.
I suppose this is strange because the driver sp46063_HP bluetooth driver (Win 7) was sucessfully installed, or is it possible it is turned off in the BIOS settings so that it can not be detected in device manager or hp wireless assistant, or still BT hardware is not installed in my notebook?
Further clues plsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
Vincent

Hi:
Like I wrote above...if the wireless assistant doesn't detect the BT driver, unfortunately, I don't know what the issue is.
I don't think that model has a BIOS setting to enable/disable the bluetooth radio.
So, it is one of two things...either your notebook never came with built in bluetooth, or the adapter has died on you.

Hello Mr. Paul
I'm grateful for ur response. I quite agree with u, it is either the BT adapter has died or the system has no BT hardware.
However, due to the nature of my job I want to intall an internal BT card other than using a USB dongle.
checking my Network Adapters category, the following adapters are listed:
- Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter
- Marvell Yukon 88E8039 PCI-E Ethernet Controller
- Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter.
This shows that my system already has WiFi and broadcom 802.11g adapters, and i guess i wouldn't be needing an integrated wireless BT+ WiFi adapter (ie mini PCIe card), rather only a BT card.
Pls, could you sent me any list of required BT card that is compactible with my HP compaq Presario V3925TU, model V3700, and with win 7 OS. Further instructions and/or directives are welcomed.
Thanks,
Vincent

Hi, Vincent:
Your model would use the HP bluetooth module.
See the service manual below, chapter 3, page 23, item 15, for the part number of this module.
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01279890
You will also need the cable.
Bluetooth module (includes Bluetooth module cable) HP Part # 397923-002
See chapter 4, starting on page 89 for the installation procedure.
It will take an incredible amount of disassembly to install this part.
I would just buy an external usb bluetooth adapter for $15 bucks, rather than to go through all that trouble.
The part is no longer available from HP, so you would have to find it on the secondary market like on eBay.

Hi Mr. Paul
Thanks alot for the link and service manual. I find them very useful. Moreover, i realized i could just replace the WLAN card with an integrated wireless WLAN+Bluetooth, since the WLAN card is just at the rear top surface instead of digging deep into the system for the BT card. I hope it will be ok.
Nonetheless, i shall give you feedback accordingly.
best regards,
Vincent

You're very welcome, Vincent.
Here's the problem with what you want to do...
You can only use one of the wifi cards listed in the service manual for your notebook, and it must have the hp part number on it or it will not work.
None of the cards listed in the service manual for your model are combination wifi/bluetooth cards.
There is what is known as a BIOS whitelist which rejects any unsupported wifi card from working.
The notebook will not even boot up until the unsupported wifi card is removed.
