Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to run the hard drive diagnostics test in the BIOS (F2) and see what it reports.

As the message indicated, it could be a bad hard drive.

Good morning, following your instructions I ran some test and it say or appears to me that it says everything PASSED.  Here are a couple screen shots of the results. 
I did notice that it say (305) IS FULL.

I think that 03F0 report is not good news if you google it.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with that.

I have the advantage of having several notebook hard drives sitting in a drawer that I would be using to check and see if I would be able to reinstall Windows on a different drive.

Not sure I would go out and buy a new one in your position.

You probably have some kind of hardware issue going on there.

So I have reading allot of stuff from internet and not much luck.  
so I am sitting here staring at screen thinking about how to format HD and other things when a brain fart occurs what would happen if I ask for the 32 bit instead of the 64 bit.  So I try and when I select 32 bit it takes me to this screen.  

crazy or what?  Any thoughts.

Hi:

Definitely crazy.

So it appears it will let you install W10 32 bit but not W10 64 bit.

So you can either try the repair option, or install W10 32 bit.

If you don't have more than 4 GB of memory installed a 32 bit operating system will work fine on your notebook.

Okay I tried a few other things still not lucky.  

so back to the 32 bit scenario. While I was reading about the error message it was also referencing the options to format the hard drive to fix it so I am here in the Win10 32 bit. And selected customize setup. And am here at where do you want to install windows.  Here is a screen shot do you think formatting this hard drive will help and if so exactly what drives am I formatting so that is it fresh hard drive. 

by the way. When it asked for product key I put the key I have to my Windows 10 Pro version. 
the cd I just bought supports both Win10 home and pro

Hi:

Yes, delete every partition on the drive, leaving just one partition of unallocated space.

Click Next, and W10 will install.

Yes, you would enter the W10 Pro product key when prompted to do so and you will get W10 Pro.

Okay let’s hope I did this right. I clicked on

Drive 0 partition 1 through 4 and selected delete leaving just 

DRIVE 0 I allocated space 465.3 GB 

so I don’t need to format anything 

just click next.

Yep.

That's what you needed to do.

Still don't get why the 64 bit version wouldn't install, but I have heard others indicating issues with that too on older notebooks.

Again...as long as you don't have more than 4 GB of memory installed, you are not losing a thing by installing a 32 bit OS.
