My hp windows 11 laptop has been having many issues such as the blue screen of death loop and now a loop of automatic repair, every time I reset it goes to the automatic repair and i tried to factory reset and it will not let me factory reset. I tried the command prompt window and some of the commands don't work even though I copy their exact letters ect, I also made sure it's for my hp windows 11 laptop as well. Please help.

@MiloS11, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing these frustrating issues with your HP laptop. Let's walk through a few steps to help you resolve the automatic repair loop and restore your system.

Perform a Hard Reset

This clears temporary memory and can sometimes break the repair loop:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Disconnect the power adapter and all peripherals.
  • Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power adapter and try turning the laptop back on.

Use HP Recovery Environment (F11)

If Windows won’t boot, try accessing recovery options:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Turn it back on and immediately press F11 repeatedly until the Choose an option screen appears.
  • Go to Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
  • Choose Remove everything for a full factory reset.

If this fails, proceed to the next step.

Use HP Cloud Recovery Tool

If the built-in recovery fails, you can create a recovery USB using another working PC:

Advanced Command Prompt Options (if accessible)

If you can access Command Prompt via F11 > Advanced Options: Try these commands one at a time:

bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /rebuildbcd

If any command fails, let us know the exact error message.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
