Hi @ragnar11,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Hp Pavillion windows 11 keyboard and touchpad not working

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Since your keyboard and touchpad work in BIOS but not in Windows 11, it’s likely a driver or software issue. Here’s how to fix it:

Restart in Safe Mode

  1. Force restarts your laptop by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
  2. Turn it back on and repeatedly press F8 or Shift + F8 (if supported).
  3. Select Safe Mode with Networking.
  4. If the keyboard/touchpad works in Safe Mode, the issue is likely a driver conflict.

Update or Reinstall Keyboard & Touchpad Drivers

  1. Connect a USB mouse (or use the touchscreen).
  2. Press Win + X → Select Device Manager.
  3. Expand Keyboards → Right-click HID Keyboard Device → Select Update driver.
  4. Expand Mice and other pointing devices → Right-click HID Touchpad Device → Select Update driver.
  5. Restart your laptop.

Reinstall the Drivers

If updating didn’t help:

  1. In Device Manager, right-click HID Keyboard Device and HID Touchpad Device.
  2. Click Uninstall Device → Restart your laptop.
  3. Windows should reinstall the drivers automatically.
