Try these steps:
Verify Product Information:
- Check the bottom of your laptop for the product label.
- Verify that the product number, serial number, and other information are correctly recorded.
Update HP Software and Drivers:
- Ensure that all HP software and drivers are up to date. You can use the HP Support Assistant to check for updates.
- Download and install any available updates.
- You can get the HP Support Assistant here.
Reinstall HP Support Applications:
- Uninstall and reinstall the HP Support Assistant.
- Go to the Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Find HP Support Assistant, right-click, and select Uninstall.
- Restart your computer.
- Download and reinstall HP Support Assistant from the HP website.
Check BIOS Settings:
- Restart your laptop and press F10 to enter BIOS settings.
- Check the product information stored in the BIOS.
- Ensure that the product number, serial number, and other information are correctly entered.
Run HP Diagnostics:
- Use HP Diagnostic tools to check your system hardware.
- Download and run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics from here.
Restore Factory Settings:
- If the issue persists, you can consider restoring your laptop to factory settings.
- Backup your important data first.
- Go to Settings > System > Recovery.
- Select Reset this PC and choose either a keep or remove your personal files option.
