Hi @Miki38,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP PC has shut down and is now showing the UEFI Hardware Diagnostics screen. It likely means the system detected a hardware issue or was manually triggered into diagnostics mode. Here's what you can do next:

1. Check What Test Is Running

  • If a test is already running, let it complete.
  • If it’s asking you to choose a test, start with:
    • Quick Test (takes a few minutes)
    • If issues persist, run the Extensive Test (can take over an hour)

2. Note Any Error Codes

  • If a test fails, it will show a 24-digit failure ID.
  • Write this down—you’ll need it if you contact HP Support.

3. If All Tests Pass

  • Try restarting your PC.
  • If it still doesn’t boot into Windows, you may need to:
    • Perform a Startup Repair
    • Boot into Safe Mode
    • Use System Restore (if enabled)

If You Want to Exit Diagnostics

  • Press Esc or click Main Menu > Exit.
  • Then try restarting your PC.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
