Hi

My laptop was recently stuck in going-to-sleep state, and I was forced to force a shutdown. Now, the operating system thinks it's a desktop: doesn't detect the battery nor are there any options for it (neither in the Settings app nor in the Control Panel) and it doesn't detect the inbuilt keyboard. Even the Hp Support Assistant says: "NO BATTERY" when I try to check. I tried to recover a previous version of windows (though the recovery point might have been too recent) and a bios recovery with Windows + B during start-up method.

It was a Windows problem after all. Reinstalling the PCI standard ISO bridge driver in the device manager fixed the issue.
