As you discovered, you must always have the power cord connected when resetting/reinstalling Windows.
Did you create your usb recovery media prior to resetting Windows?
If so, can you boot from that and re-install again?
Or can you go to F11 at boot and access the recovery again to start it over?
And remember to have the AC power cord plugged in.
