Hi @Madakzin

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I acknowledge the issue you are facing with your HP Laptop 15s-fq3009ni looping on a black screen. Let us proceed with recommended steps to address this situation.

Step 1: Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Disconnect the AC adapter.
  2. Remove any external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.).
  3. Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the AC adapter and power on the laptop.

Step 2: Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press the Power button and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
  3. Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  4. Select System Tests > Extensive Test and allow it to run.
    • If a failure ID appears, note it down for reference.

Step 3: Access Recovery Options

  1. Restart the laptop and press F11 repeatedly to open HP Recovery Manager.
  2. Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced Options.
  3. Run Startup Repair.
  4. If Startup Repair does not resolve the issue, use System Restore to revert to a previous working state.

Step 4: BIOS Update and Reset

  1. Power on the laptop and press Esc, then F10 to enter BIOS Setup.
  2. In BIOS, press F9 to load setup defaults, then press F10 to save and exit.
  3. If the system loads, update BIOS using HP App or HP Support Assistant.
