Hello
I am currently trying to reset my laptop due to it freezing and the screen disconnecting at random times. However, once it gets to 50%, the reset fails. This has been going on for a few days and my partner is having the same problem. I don't know the model of laptop as it was bought second hand. If anyone would be able to help, it would be much appreciated. I'm in the UK if it helps 🙂

Hi:
Use the guide at the link below for how to find the model number/product number of your notebook.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
What operating system are you trying to recover?

You're very welcome.
Here is what you need to do...
Using the Media creation tool at the link below, make a bootable W10 installation USB flash drive.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
You will need to have access to another Windows, PC and an 8 GB USB flash drive.
Make the 64 bit installation media.
During the installation process, when you get to the screen that asks 'Where do you want to install Windows,' delete every partition on the hard drive, leaving just one partition of unallocated space.
Click Next, and W10 will install.
After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your PC's support page.
https://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-stream-13-c100-notebook-pc/8499341/model/8902270
You will not need the product key to install W10. The key is in the BIOS and W10 will automatically find it.
