I had not shut down my laptop for more than a day, I just kept closing and opening it. It started updating when this happened and now it is stuck on the screen saver mode, the curzor moves but clicking any icon doesn't work. It's been like this for 4 days now.
What do I do? Is it safe to take it to any local service centre?

If the issue started recently, you could try a System Restore to an earlier time before the issue started
Please refer to this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03327545
If you are unable to access the Restore Point or if the Restore fails, please perform a Reset. You can follow the instructions in this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04742289
Keep me posted 😊

Hi,
So I got My laptop reset and it is functioning properly, but the the OS has been updated to windows 10pro (I think it was the Windows 10 home, before) . And the windows applications have not been activated. How do I activate it and download the basic apps like MS Word, excel, PPT, etc?
