I have almost the same problem! Very poor and bad support here! I reformated and installed from scratch Windows 8.1 since Windows 10 Home edition that came preinstalled with this laptop is really too heavy for this machine, freezing almost all the time! And now with Windows 8.1 no touchscreen anymore, like it never existed! Even with Windows 10 it worked OK! For this is nemed 2 in 1! And I cannot find official any driver for this OS now. Why HP offers support only for Windows 10 when Win 8 works too on this laptop?! I saw on youtube a lot of clips of this laptop working under Windows 8. Hp pavilion 11-k100ng.

@sorin2015, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Are you looking for a compatible stylus for your PC or is it a concern with regards to the touchscreen on your PC?

Did you check if the touchscreen works in the BIOS Screen?

  • This would help us determine if this is either a software or hardware related issue, hence I request you tap on F10 during a PC restart and check if you can use the touch feature to select options outside windows.
  • If it doesn't work, this could be a hardware malfunction.
  • Also, we would not recommend downgrading the OS and suggest you reinstall Windows 10.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi, thanks for reply. I think is because downgrading to Win 8.1. But I dont understand why is not supported. In Win 10 preinstalled OS it was mentioned that pen and touch were available. I explained previously the reasons for downgrading: Win 10 seems to me to be too heavy for celeron processor of this laptop. It moves very-very difficult, freezing, like the computer is suffocating! However I noticed in bios touchscreem works but not using Windows 8.1. Now is like nonexistent. There is not even any driver in device manager to mention now something about touchscreen. And I did not find any driver for this in my searches. All are incompatible.

@sorin2015,

Thanks for replying!

Since the product was shipped with Windows 10 OS, drivers will not be available for lower versions of the OS.

HP has designed the product to work at its optimum performance with Windows 10 OS. If you have any issues, run a hardware test on the PC and get back to us with results for further assistance.

Keep me posted.

Sorry its not a hardware issue! Its too heavy this OS for this laptop with this kind of processor! And why I still can see many videos in youtube showing HP Pavilion x360 running Win 8 preinstalled few years ago? What drivers they use? It was shipped with Win 10 since Microsoft would prefer everybody to use only this OS even they like it or not running to consider already previous OS obsolete!
