Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fa2000 (C8TG0AV)
  • Specs at bottom of post.

I just bought the computer and did all of the necessary driver and software updates. There are none left even when I click Check for Updates. The computer will randomly restart and give me one of 2 codes: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (0x9F) or VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL.

I downloaded BlueScreenView and here are the codes it came back with.

I don't know how to get these to stop and don't know what else to do. I really like the laptop and don't want to return it, so any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Try uninstalling the GPU driver using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in Safe Mode, then reinstall the latest GPU driver.

However, if the issue still remains, the most sensible option for a brand-new laptop is to return it and request a replacement while you are still within the replacement period. These types of repeated BSODs are not normal on a new laptop and could indicate a hardware issue.

I don't think the laptop is new, it was just new to me. I probably bought it refurbished without knowing it was refurbished. However! I will say that using DDU to make sure my drivers were up to date is the only thing that solved the crashing, so thank you for your help. I won't have to return my laptop, thank you!!
