Hello,
I uninstalled Windows 10 on my HP stream recently and instead installed a Linux Distro. After multiple attempts at trying to use it I decided to try and revert back to Windows 7. I have a windows 7 USB drive that I plugged in and tried to use, but it gave me the error ''missing operating system''.
When I boot into my computer, I press Esc and then f9 in order to choose the boot options. The USB shows up, I hit enter and it gives me this error. Is there anything that can be done? I know that this USB Drive works for Windows 10, but I'm unsure as to why the HP Laptop will not pick up on it.

Hi:
What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?
The product number can be found on the same label as the serial number.
Did your HP Stream originally come with W7?
If not, you can't install or run W7 on that platform because most Streams have 32 GB eMMC drives and there is no drive controller support for W7.
If your PC originally came with W10, you can use the media creation tool at the link below to make a bootable W10 USB installer.
