Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I recently got a laptop from my step mother who forgot the password and told me if I found out to use it, I could have it. I tried the reset and F11 trick and was able to get there quickly, but as soon as I tried to reset it, it told me that It needed more space before it can reset. The problem is I can’t access any of the files or do anything to less it before I can reset it do to not knowing the password. Is there anyone to delete files or bipass this problem so I can use this laptop? (I don’t know if connection to wifi is needed here or not but in case it is, yes I do have the laptop connected to wifi)

Hi:

The HP forum rules of participation prohibit us from providing any password assistance.

The only suggestions I can offer are these...

1.  See if your notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use on another PC running W7 64 bit or newer to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with most notebooks made in 2016 or later.

Here is an info link for how to use that utlilty...you will need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery media with.

2. If the notebook is not supported by the cloud recovery tool, you can use the media creation tool to create a bootable USB installation flash drive and clean install W10.

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from the notebook's support page.
