Hi @dottm,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand you are experiencing issues with your HP Laptop 15-af124ur, including the inability to start the system and restore factory settings.

To assist you in restoring your laptop to its original factory condition, please follow these steps:

  1. Attempt to Use HP Recovery Manager:
  • Turn off your laptop completely.
  • Power it back on and immediately press the F11 key repeatedly until the HP Recovery Manager screen appears.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your laptop to factory settings.

Note: If the recovery partition is missing or corrupted, this process may fail.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
