Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Howdy doo, so I have a laptop that someone else was using and was trying to fix it, I suspected a bad hard drive since I was able to boot into bios and move around there, however using the onboard diagnostics system said that the SMART check passed but the Short and Long DST were both not available, I also can’t seem to boot from usb (Windows install tool) and i don’t even get an error that the boot drive isn’t installed, the backlight just turns on and nothing shows even after letting it sit for 20-30 minutes. I’ve tried removing the cmos battery and waiting a few minutes, turned on legacy mode in the bios but nothing will boot and nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update: The hard drive failure id is "UBTWX3-8AM7G1-XD7X7G-619203" after running the onboard hard disk test

Hi:

The hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced.

With Legacy mode enabled in the BIOS, you should be able to boot from the W10 installation media if you have the flash drive in a USB port.

Turn on or restart the PC.

Immediately press/tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu and from that select the EFI USB diskette on key/USB flash drive and press the enter key.

The PC should boot from the flash drive.

I've tried booting from multiple different flash drives with different installs for the boot manager with windows 8 and 10 and neither will boot up from usb unfortunately, when I start to boot it from usb in the bios it will just go black and no matter how long I let it sit it doesn't do anything past that.
