Hello Support Team,

I have been experiencing serious stability issues with my OMEN Laptop 15-en0xxx for the past two years. The laptop crashes unpredictably without any warning and restarts on its own. At other times, it completely freezes and becomes unresponsive—the lock light does not change, and I am forced to perform a hard reset. I also frequently encounter a black screen, and even using Win + Shift + B to reload the graphics driver does not resolve the issue.

I have tried everything I can think of to fix this problem. I have installed Windows 10, Windows 11, and even Ubuntu as a clean, standalone installation (no dual boot), but the issues persist across all operating systems. I ran full hardware diagnostics at startup, and all components passed the tests. I also prevented Windows 10 from installing drivers or system updates, but the problem still occurs. I consistently encounter errors such as 0xF6, stokrnl, and IRQL-related crashes.

Below are my laptop specifications. I would really appreciate your help in identifying and fixing this issue.

System Details:

  • OS Name: Microsoft Windows 11 Home

  • Version: 10.0.26200 (Build 26200)

  • System Model: OMEN Laptop 15-en0xxx

  • System Type: x64-based PC

  • System SKU: 2V926UA#ABA

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics, 2.90 GHz
    (8 cores, 16 logical processors)

  • BIOS Version/Date: AMI F.26, 10/04/2025

  • BIOS Mode: UEFI

  • BaseBoard Manufacturer: HP

  • BaseBoard Product: 8786

  • BaseBoard Version: 22.59

Thank you for your time and support. I look forward to your assistance.

Best regards,

Hi @Gumball09,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

Does the laptop crash more often under load (gaming, video rendering, stress tests) or also when idle?

Do you notice higher temperatures before the crashes, or does it happen even when the system is cool?

Have you ever replaced or upgraded RAM or storage, or is everything original?

When the system freezes, do the fans continue running normally, ramp up, or suddenly stop?

Have you ever tried disabling the dedicated GPU and running only on integrated graphics (even temporarily)?

Kindly please follow the below troubleshooting steps:

Since you’ve already ruled out software and OS corruption, here are some advanced but practical steps that often expose hidden hardware faults:

1. Extensive memory testing (very important) under UEFI
From the Startup Menu, press the F2 key to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) menu.

You will see options for different tests. Select Extensive Test

2. Disable fast startup and power features
In Windows:

Disable Fast Startup

Set power mode to Balanced

3. BIOS reset and downgrade test (if available)

4. Load BIOS defaults.

I hope this helps.
