Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. I was doing a Reset of PC on my notebook when it stalled at 42% after four hours of resetting. I then manually shut down my notebook.  I turned it back on and there was a message that if I was going to give the computer away, I should do another Reset because it did not Reset properly.

Then the Windows 10 operating system began to install. It got stuck at 64% and keeps restarting, going to the blue screen that show the 64% progress, restarts, back to the blue screen, and so on. This went on for 20 minutes before I again manually shut down the notebook.

What can I do? I am willing to start the Reset the computer process again, but I can't do it at this point.

PS: I recently got this notebook back from the HP maintenance facility, and the technician there installed a new hard disk drive and reloaded the operating system. The notebook is still too slow.

Thank you.

Hi:

At this point I recommend you do a clean install of W10 by using the Media Creation Tool at the link below, using another Windows PC.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

The tool will allow you to make a bootable W10 installation flash drive (you will need a 4 GB flash drive for this).

The software will work with the W10 product key in your PC's BIOS and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.

Then you can install the drivers and available software you need from your PC's support page.

Thank you for your response.

When I first received the laptop, I created a Windows Media Creation Tool flash drive and a Recovery Drive (USB). It is a good thing that I did. I attempted to use the flash drive with the Windows Media Creation Tool, but it asked me which partition I wanted, and then it stated that partitions were not in the correct order. Rather than trying to figure this out (I've had too many problems with this HP laptop, and I didn't feel like doing more research), I used the Recovery Drive and now have the operating system up.:generic:
