I have just had to install a new hard drive and need to re-install my operating system. This notebook cane with factory installed Windows 8.1 which was later upgraded to Win 10. So how do I get the download to re-install my OS?

Hi:
You use the media creation tool at the link below to make a bootable USB W10 installation flash drive, using another Windows PC.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.
After W10 installs, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

Hi:
I don't know what the problem is, but here is what you need to do...
If the USB flash drive was made correctly, the PC should boot from it as follows...
Have the flash drive plugged into the USB port.
Turn on or restart the PC.
Immediately tap the ESC key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen to get the menu of options.
Select the F9 boot options menu, and from that, select the USB diskette on key/USB flash drive, and press the Enter key.
The PC should then boot from the USB W10 installation flash drive.

There is no HP startup Screen. I have black screen that says BOOT DEVISE NOT FOUND, please install an operating system on your hard disk, Hard Disk (3FO), F2. System Diagnostics
For more info contact: hp.....
When we insert the flash drive nothing happens, I pushed F9 and did not have an option to select a drive.

Thank you so much for helping with the install of Windows, I began the process over and it worked. However I don’t have a mouse or any way to install drivers. Keyboard does not respond. I downloaded drivers on to a flash drive but have no way to command any action. Touch pad is not responding. What should I do now? Please help
