Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an old dv9700 laptop that will not execute an offline virus check because \Windows\System32\drivers\vmbus,sys error 0xc0000221.  The Internet tells me that I need os media to fix the problem.  Any ideas how I could obtain such?

Hi:

 

You can make W10 installation media with the Media creation tool from the link below.

 

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

 

When you boot from the media and get to the Install Now screen, on the lower left side of the window will be a Repair this PC option.
