I perform an HP system recovery and the question is where can I find the Office product key in the Laptop if it is possible?

@ErosPista55

You didn't bother to tell us what version of MS Office you were using -- and that is important information.

Office versions 2013 and later came in two forms, a local installation (in which the key is entered manually and then retained in the Registry of the PC), or Click-to-Run (CTR) versions in which the key is received via e-mail from Microsoft and is NOT retained locally on the PC.

Office versions prior to 2013 have the key stored locally in the Registry.

If the key is local, look online for MagicalJellyBeanKeyFinder, a free license-retrieval product, download and run it -- and it will display the Office key from the registry.

If the version is CTR, we can hot help you because the key is NOT stored locally and HP keeps no record of indivual MS Office keys associated with individual PCs.

Hi there, thanks for answer. I don't have a clue about the version because it is asking for the product key. I didn't start the try version.  I think it is 2013. In Program Files it is saying Office 15 but not sure that is helping anything. I get it with the laptop 4.5 years ago already running. Have partition 😧 for recovery from where I reinstalled everything and now I don't know how to get the key. Maybe I must to buy it. Anyway thanks.
