Recently purchased the Omnibook 5 16”with snapdragon and 256gb hd. I’m a casual laptop user - use for mostly content consumption, web browsing, email, work stuff occasionally… no gaming or anything hardcore. I got this computer for $400 about a month ago and I’m very happy.

The only issue I’ve noticed seems to be a physical design flaw where the trackpad itself feels loose, like there’s a lot of travel before it clicks. If I lightly shake the computer, all I hear is something in the trackpad moving, like a rattle. And you can see the pad itself moving. I figured I could just go under the hood and tighten a loose screw, and that’d fix it. But as it turns out, it was correctly seated, and all screws were appropriately fastened. So it likely came with a defect in the trackpad itself. Anyone else hear of this or experience themselves?

It is in warranty and the defect can be fixed.  You have paid for this service when you bought it.

Unless it was physically damaged and the damage is clear to see there is no reason why it cannot be fixed at no cost other than mailing it in or dropping it off somewhere.
