I just read thru this thread: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/HP-OmniBook-Ultra-Flip/td-p/922... and wanted to post there but it's closed.
Anyways, I am currently running Debian 13 (kernel 6.15) on an Omnibook Ultra 14 Flip. Everything works as far as I can tell - even the fingerprint sensor. However, I have noticed that when doing gpu intensive tasks like gaming or gpu benchmarking - the gpu core mhz drops very much after a few seconds and the performance is not as exptected. Rather running at 1200 mhz instead of 2000 mhz.
Anyone else noticed this or know a fix?

I have digged deeper here and I can state that the HP Omnibook Ultra Flip will not draw more than 30-32 watts from the wall while running any load (fully charged that is). Compared to HP Omnibook Ultra 14 that can draw 70 watts from the wall.
So I believe this is a power profile issue, while running Linux, that prevents Omnibook Ultra Flip from performing as well as it could (and will do running Windows). ASUS did have a similar issue with Vivobook S14 that they fixed: https://www.phoronix.com/news/Intel-Lunar-Lake-ASUS-AIPT
I understand that this is not in the "linux program" for HP - but it's sad since everything else runs flawless on Linux with this lovely hardware.
