Operating System: Chrome OS

Hi,

i bought a second hand HP Chromebook 11 G6 EE with damaged OS. I was able to recover OS via USB . The device work well, but it don't detects Chorome OS updates. I installed a recovery tool on this device and it cannot detect the model of the Chromebook. As a model it says "SNAPPY TEST 1088", I know how to change via console tools this string, but I need to know what is the correct model ID to set to have updates working. Please help 🙂

That is the model number... HP Chromebook 11 G6 EE.

This is not that what I'm talking about. I need the model code name that you see at the recovery mode screen.

The product name is the HP Chromebook 11 G6 EE.

 

You probably need the product number, which should be in the system information window of the BIOS, or perhaps on the bottom of the notebook's case.

 

See this link for how to find the product number of the notebook.

The best option is to send a screen shot of recovery screen made by someone who have the same device.
