Hello community.


Does anyone use Microsoft Office? If yes, may i known what could have caused PowerPoint error: 'POWERPOINT.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows'?

You can first check if the file is read-only, on a read only location, or on a remote server. If the file is on a read only location or on a remote server, then try to copy the file from the read-only location or server to a writable drive on the local computer. The make sure you remove the read-only attribute of the PowerPoint file.
If the PowerPoint file still cannot be opened, then we can confirm the file is corrupt.  For better suggestion on issues related with powerpoint file repair can find here: http://www.powerpoint.repair/

As to why a Microsoft program throws up errors, has many variables and almost impossible to tell when it's a generic message fron Office.
