HP Pavilion - 15-cs3073cl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Pavilion laptop has totally locked up mid-application.  No cursor movement, power switch inoperative (posted recommendation of repeated pressing power switch has no effect.  Cntl,Alt,Del has no effect.  No keys seem to do anything.  System remains on and unresponsive.  On my older laptop I would have pulled the battery, but that is apparently not easy on this laptop.  Product # is 7RQ09UA.

Hello BobKirk,

please hold down the Power-Button for ap. 10-15 seconds. This should force power-off the notebook. After turning off, you can normally switch the device on again.

Thank you for the prompt response.  I was interested that the hold down power as suggested did indeed solve the problem whereas the HP suggested "repeated pressing of the power button" did not have any effect.  Also, letting the laptop battery discharge so it had to start over also worked as an alternative solution.

Thanks again for the support and accurate solution to the situation.  Appreciate the education.
