Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-d1 (53F49AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My computer is stuck at the Victus logo screen . And even though I tried the solutions on the internet, it didn't work. I had the same problem 3 days ago and I fixed it by formatting. same problem happened again

This is my previous post about same problem :

My HP notebook stays at the Victus logo on the boot screen and Windows won't load. When I run startup repair it gives srttail.txt error. Also the notebook is opening in safe mode. I booted into safe mode and ran these commands but it doesn't work (chkdsk /f /r) . Can you help? I don't know what to do, System Restore doesn't work either

Hi @Emre34,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Flash BIOS F.12 Rev A using Flash drive

Method:

  1. Go to https://support.hp.com/my-en/drivers.
  2. Login and select your device, or enter the Serial Number into the field.
  3. Select the Windows version for your device. in my case it was Win 11 20H2 (64bit)
  4. Expand All Drivers
  5. Expand BIOS - System Firmware
  6. Download HP Consumer Notebook PC BIOS Update (88EB/88EC/88ED/88EE/8934) version F.12 Rev A into another Windows PC
  7. Enter a blank Flash Drive into that PC (if there's any file, it will be formatted).
  8. Prepare the Bios Flash tool
  • Launch the Downloaded file (double click) and Accepts all messages (click Next) until you see a list of all removable drives on that PC.
  • Select the flash drive you would like to use to flash the BIOS.
  • Click on Format
  • The tool will Format the flash drive and prepare the BIOS tools.
  • Once done, eject the flash drive.
  1. Flash the BIOS
  • Make sure the bootlooping Victus is powered off.
  • Connect the power
  • Plug in the flash drive we prepare in step 8
  • Press Win + B simultaneously and at the same time, switch on the Victus (press power for 2 seconds)
  • wait until the BIOS setup tool is launched
  • follow the instructions, mostly just wait until the laptop restarts several times and boot into Windows as usual.

Hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
