HP Laptop 15-db0031nr (Pavillion?)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is my second HP laptop that's been giving me a very hard time.  I've only had it since March of last year and it's already doing the same thing the one before it did - it's plugging in but not charging.

Last night was very difficult for me.  I had to do a hard reset TWICE in less than 12 hours.  I changed chargers.  I updated the bios.  I ran a power trouble shooter and that didn't work either.  I cried, swore and felt like screaming.  Right now it's "93% available, plugged in" but it won't go any higher than that.

This laptop has a non-removeable battery.  Why HP, in its infinite wisdom (I'm being sarcastic) would design a laptop to have a battery that can't be changed, I've got no clue unless it's because they like to frustrate and anger their customers.

This is my second HP laptop that's crapping out on me after about a year and a half.  A YEAR AND A HALF.  The previous one didn't last long either and it was for the exact same reason.

This screwup is having a negative impact on me.  I NEED this device to order supplies for my house because of the pandemic.  I'm in poor health and confined to a wheelchair and just can't go anywhere until things get better, Covid-wise, even though I'm vaccinated.  I NEED this device to pay my bills and do online banking.  I'm lost without it.

I'm scared that it will croak like that last one and if that happens, I don't know what I'll do because I'm on a fixed income and can't afford to replace it.

Does anyone out there have any ideas as to how this can be fixed - IF at all?  If I end up tossing this piece of garbage in the trash I swear to God I will not get another  HP product.

I got screwed twice and am very angry.  I'm not trying to be rude or overly harsh, but because this device is vital and a key part of helping me get through the pandemic, it MUST NOT DIE on me.  I NEED IT.

I'm sleep deprived because I stayed up most of the night to fix it, but to no avail.

Please, somebody help me.  I either need a fix or I need HP to replace this free of charge, given how I bought two of these things in the past three years.  Thanks.

It's ok. Don't worry about this.

You also can replace the battery. Look in the Maintenance and Service Guide.

I can't do this.  I'm technically-challenged and if I tried to take this thing apart it won't work ever again.

I need help!  Please, is there someone out there who can help me?  If this laptop dies, I'll be lost without it.  It's vital that it keeps working.

I can't believe that HP doesn't stand by its products and won't do squat to help people like me.  A laptop that's barely 18 months old shouldn't be crapping out so soon.  And this is the second one of theirs that did this to me in less than THREE YEARS.

THREE.

Please someone help me.  I'm very very stressed out.  I tried more diagnostics and had to unplug this piece of garbage and now it's down to 60% available and plugged in.

It shouldn't be this hard.  Why on earth would HP design this laptop so that no one can take out the battery?

I can't cope.  Sorry, but this really got me stressing out.  AGAIN.

You can't charge the battery up to 100 %. That would ruin the battery.

So it's not a bug, it's a feature that prevents the battery from overcharging.
