Hi Thehelpmeguy,
Thanks for reaching out.
Kindly try the following methods to fix the issue (Skip a step that you have already tried):
1-Force the computer to shut down 2 times until you get windows Troubleshooting > Advanced Options:
A-Startup repair.
B-If you have a system restore point, perform a system restore.https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/recovery-options-in-windows-31ce2444-7de3-818c-d626-e3b5...
C-If you installed any updates recently, uninstall it
D-Click on Command Prompt > Type this command and hit enter:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Once it finishes, type this command and hit enter:
sfc /scannow
Also try boot repair commands:
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /rebuildbcd
Once it finishes, type this command and hit enter:
chkdsk /r
E-If you have enabled fast boot in UEFI Firmware, disable it:
https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/21284-enable-disable-fast-boot-uefi-firmware-settings-windows.ht...
F-Reset this PC > Keep my files.
2-If it did not help, start your computer in Safe Mode:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-your-pc-in-safe-mode-in-windows-92c27cff-db89-8644...
if you could log in with Safe Mode, open CMD as administrator > Type these commands and hit enter:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Once it finishes, type this command and hit enter:
sfc /scannow
Then, restart your computer and check to see if the issue has been fixed or not.
3-If it did not help, create a bootable USB of Windows 10 and boot your computer with the USB:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-installation-media-for-windows-99a58364-8c02-206f...
On the installation window, click on repair and try the options provided in step 1.
After that, check if it fixed the issue or not.
4-If the issue is still unfixed, perform a clean install:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/clean-install-windows-10/1c426bdf-79b1-4d42-be...
Be noted that you have to install the same Windows edition that was running on your computer in order not to face Windows activate issues.
If you have important data, try to rescue them:
