Product: HP Laptop - 14-fq0010nr

The other day I was on my laptop when the screen went checkered black and white and shut off. Ever since then, whenever I turn it on- I hear the fan and the caps lock button blinks but the screen will not turn on or display anything. I've walked through so many steps with the virtual assistant and it's gotten me nowhere and I'm not sure what to do. Any help would be appreciated.
